Fun with Chalkboard technique

Hi everyone!! Indira here today sharing two cards - one simple and one Double Tri-shutter card. The simple card is a Birthday chalkboard while the Double Tri-shutter card is a love themed card, embellished using DIY chalkboard panels and elements.

Card no. 1 - Birthday Chalkboard Card

1. Took a 4x3" black CS and treated with embossing buddy.
2. Pulled out various birthday stamps from Mudra and arranged them on the panel.
3. Stamped using VersaMark ink and embossed with white embossing powder.
4. Added few elements using Signo White gel pen.
5. Drew borders using the same gel pen around the black embossed piece.
6. Dabbed on some Hero Arts Unicorn white ink using a sponge dauber to get a grungy chalkboard effect.
7. Prepared the card base by creating a border with washi tape.
8. Glued the black embossed piece on the card base.

Card no. 2 - Double Tri-shutter card

1. Made a Double Tri-shutter card using black CS.
2. Decorated it using pattern papers.
3. Then made four 4x3" panels to use as embellishments for the card.
4. Stamped using VersaMark ink and embossed with white embossing powder.
5. Added few elements using Signo White gel pen.
5. Drew borders using the same gel pen around the black embossed pieces.
6. Also stamped few images with Hero Arts Unicorn White ink to make my own custom chalkboard elements/stickers to decorate the smaller panels of the card.
7. Made a shaker element for the front panel using the heart die-cut and Mudra's Sugar Plum and Clear Sequins Mix.
8. Finished off the card by adding all the embellishments, flowers, die-cuts, etc.
9. Added a seam binding ribbon to keep the card shut.
