Today I am truly honored to have been given a chance to guest design for Mudra Craft Stamps. I had always loved stationery, papers, planners and books. I enjoy paper crafting so much and I would love to create, design and play with papers forever. For more of my projects, please visit my instagram @annesabrina or my blog at sabrinascrapbook.blogspot.com.

I am honored to have been given a chance to guest design for Mudra Stamps.

For this post, I have created few tags and a notebook spread using the beautiful stamps.
My style is usually very simple – I just stamp on a paper and cut it.
Other than fussy cutting, you wouldn’t find anything more technical in my artwork ;)

Here are the photos - the hibiscus and rose stamps are simply gorgeous!

I have been using the stamps a lot in my planner and traveller’s notebook too.
Here’s the spread I could share with you :

I have thoroughly enjoyed playing with Mudra stamps and will surely continue using them.
I like to take this opportunity to thank Mudra team for their generosity and for inviting.
Thank you also to everyone for looking!

How To Make A Simple Mixed Media Card | Video

Hello everyone! This is Deepti Stephens here and today I'm going to show you how to make a simple mixed media card using Daisy Blooms and Book Mark Stamp sets.

What is a Mixed Media card?
(definition by Shery)

Straight up, a mixed media card is a card that is created using a variety of mediums, it means using any of the following in addition to the usual stamps and inks:
Mediums that add texture. Some examples: fabric, stitching, embossing paste, texture gel, gel medium, modeling paste, gesso, textured paper, glitter, found objects
Mediums that give dimension. Some examples: die-cuts, chipboard, embossing powders, epoxy/thick stickers, embellishments, found objects
Mediums that allow you to use (and even combine) different techniques. Some examples: watercolor, pastels, alcohol inks, markers, chalks, acrylic paints, oils, crayons
Even using various tools and supplies is okay. Some examples: die-cutting machine (manual or electronic), monoprinting tools (Gelli plate), embossing folders, punches, dies, stencils, templates.
Basically, a card that has stamps and inks PLUS at least any two of the above (embossing paste and alcohol inks, for example) is a mixed media card.

I took a standard sized white card base and today I would like work on a Canvas cloth. I loved the texture of the canvas! I took Faber-castell blue gelato and created the background, I went heavy handed at the bottom portion and light at the top. By doing so you can get a cool ombre look! This Gelatos are so creamy and soft and blends smoothly and reacts with water well.

Then I took the Daisy Blooms Stamp Set! This stamp set is a layering set and has got two floral images and leaves ofcourse! I chose the second floral image which has got three layers, but I skipped the second layer and stamped the third layer on top of the first. I stamped the solid image with Lilac Poises Memento Ink and the third layer with ColourArte gold pigment paint using the help of the sponge that comes along with the Gelatos kit. And for the center portion of the flower I stamped with Frost White ink from Color box.

I did the same for the leaves also - I used Hero Arts Neon green ink. These flowers are so cool and pretty and they really shine in real life! I was not able to capture that shine on my camera.

Next, my canvas panel has dried up completely and then I went ahead and added tiny droplets of pink color with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink followed by Gold Pigment Paint.

To add more depth to the canvas, I rubbed Black Soot Distress Ink at the edges directly against the canvas and look at that grungy feel! Don't you love it?

Finally adhered everything with Tombow Glue and stamped the sentiment from Book Mark Stamp Set with Black Soot Distress Ink. And finished my card off with a few added sequins!

Stamp Designer’s Inspiration by Ruchi

Hi Peeps!!

Today we have Ruchi Crafeteria in our blog!! She is here with bunch of inspiration for “Mini Bunch” which she designed for July release!!

Lets hear from her..

"Hi..
I'm back with my second design stamp for MUDaRA. This time came up with a flower bunch. It's a mini stamp set with 2 sentiment stamps. Have created some cards with my this design. Hope you like them. I'm ready to inspire you with lots of creativity today. :)

Card 1- Just For You

- Started creating my own pattern paper and did stamping on my card base.
- Colored only leaves with Fabercastell watercolor pencils.
- Feathers are stenciled and distressed. Then fussy cut them.
- Stamped Just for You from this Mini Bunch stamp set on a die cut piece. Arranged all the elements t
  together and I’m done.

Card 2- Birthday wishes

- Took white CS and stamped this bunch multiple times and water colored with Distress and Altenew
  inks. Then fussy cut them.
- For background panel..die cut scalloped rectangular and die cut again in the middle oval shape. B
  Both the dies from MFT.
- Distressed the edges with distress inks and gave some splatters.
- Paste three mini bunch on the right side panel of this BG and adhered that on my card base.
- Added silver rhinestones and birthday sentiment on the bottom left side. That’s it!

Card 3- Best Wishes

- For this card die cut some scallop squares in different sizes and stamped this bunch here n there in
  these squares.
- Colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Didn’t use water this time.
- Leave 2 squares without coloring and stamped Best Wishes on one square and adhered on this big s
square. This Best Wishes sentiment is from this stamp set only.
- Glued all the scallop squares on my card base and my another card is ready.
- Added fabric ribbon at the bottom and some rhinestones.

Happy Crafting!

All about blooms.!!

Hello everyone.!!
Riswana here with you today.. This is my last DT post for this term at Mudra and I'm taking a break because of my upcoming exams.!! I would really miss being part of this wonderful team, it was sheer pleasure working with them & I learnt so much along the way.. I would like to thank each and everyone of them & a biiiggg special thanks to Varshitha for believing in me & showering loads of love all the time.
Most importantly I take this opportunity to thank you all, my wonderful friends, for giving me so much support, love & encouragement. You made the journey more memorable & worthwhile.!!
So without further ado, let's look at my projects for today, but a warning.!! This post is tooo longgg andddd picture heavyyyy.!! :D

Card 1:

This is a CAS card with the beautiful Zinnia stampset.! I totally adore this flower & I colored it with Zig CCRB pens.. I wanted it to be the focal point, so i kept the rest of the card Super simple..

Card 2:

This card is made using the most popular Botanical blooms stampset from Mudra.! This set is so versatile and the possibilities are endless.!
I wrote the sentiment with black fine liner pen & drew a circle around it with pencil. Then I stamped the leaves on it with memento inks (new sprout, bamboo leaves) & also stamped some fillers..
Stamped the blooms on a separate CS with memento inks (Angel pink, Rose bud, Lady bug) fussy cut them & mounted using foam squares...

Card 3:

I stamped the daisy blooms with distress inks & used the layers as guide to do some watercoloring..  Then painted the background with distress inks & added some details with a white gel pen... Finished with few clear sequins..

Card 4:

Here's a mixed media card.! Am totally in love with the Damask stampset.. I heat embossed with violet pearl EP & the shine is gorgeous in real life.. I've tried to capture a little bit here... Not sure if it is visible :P

Added tumbled glass & peacock feathers distress paints to color.. Also added some DI through a stencil to add more textures..
Distressed the edges of the layers & finally added the butterfly embellishment to finish off the card.!

Journal layout:
Art journalling has been my favorite part of crafting & it was because of journals that I was introduced to this wonderful world of crafts.. So i wanted to complete my post with a layout and Oh, I also have a pictorial for the same :) (told you the post was pic heavy.!!! ;))
Journaling is something more personal. There are no rules, no specific style, no restrictions.. It's a way of expressing yourslef freely & i love that freedom it provides.! However, learning a few tips & techniques will help us achieve the results we have visualised to become reality.. And Let's begin.! Here's the layout..

Background:
It's easy to start with a pattern paper as it gives lot of interest and texture.. I've used this gravel PP from Papericious "Naturals" collection..

Stick the PP on to the base & trim off the excess.

Give a light wash of grey color with Distress ink & water brush.

Use a sponge dauber to apply ink through a wall stencil. (I used both distress ink & archival ink). Add more ink where the wall and pathway meet to make the demarcation better.

Apply texture paste through a stencil using palette knife. After it dries, add a little amount of color to highlight some areas. (The Ranger texture paste is inkable i.e., it absorbs inks)

Focal points:
After the background is complete, it's time to make the focal points.

Stamp Ria on pattern papers with scripts (for more interest), colour with the medium of choice, paper piece the image & finally fussy cut it. I used Zig pens to color & also added some rhinestones for her necklace..

Draw some rough flower pots on brown PP, color & fussy cut. Stamp the filler flowers from Mudra Botanical blooms stampset on to cardstock. Fussy cut them & stick on the pot in layers.

Fussy cut some chit chat sentiments from PP & also some little banners (which i made into a signboard )
It's always better to arrange all the elements before sticking them & take a snapshot with camera to finalise the layout or make changes if necessary..

Finally stick all the elements in place using tacky glue, trim alomg the edges and you are done.!!!

More pics..
