Bookmarks galore.!!

Hi dear crafties
Riswana here with you today. It's Mudra's third monthly release already, time sure is flying fast.! I take this opportunity to thank you all once again for all the love, support and feedback. You are the best :)

This May release is super awesome that I literally couldn't pick any favorites ;) Today I'll be sharing few easy-to-make bookmarks & a card.

Bookmark 1:

I just did some watercoloring with Distress inks (broken china, salty ocean, dusty concord, chipped sapphire, black soot) my favorite combo for galaxy bg :) Added some stars & constellations with white gel pen.
Stamped the quote with black dye ink & highlighted the bold words with silver gel pen.. The shine is super cool in person :)
Drew & colored a location pointer with red fine liner pen, fussy cut & added it.

I always try to make the most of stamps.. Here's a little example.. I've used the solid & outline circle images in the "Dad" stampset to make this abstract bg..
Applied DIs (mowed lawn, shabby shutters, squeezed lemonade, mustard seed) on the stamp, spritzed with water & stamped randomly.
Finally added sentiment with black dye ink.

Here's another attempt with the same technique.. Stamped the circle image with DI & then drew over it, the details with black fine liner pen.. I totally love how this drooling cutie turned out to be :D

Bookmark 4:

This is super duper simple & my personal favorite ;)
I stamped the brush stroke image with memento london fog ink using generation stamping technique & stamped the quote with memento tuxedo black ink.! Done.!!!

Here's the round up of all four.! Making bookmarks is so addicting :)

Colorful Card:

Did you check out the washi tapes stampset? Now I don't have to worry about my washis running out :D it's a boon to hoarders like me ;)
So onto the card, i stamped the washi tape patterns with memento inks mostly following the rainbow color scheme. I made mask with heart image from the heart bg stampset. I also fussy cut more hearts out of a separate cardstock stamped with washis.
I stamped Ria with black dye ink & colored with Zig clean color real brush pens & made a Polaroid picture.
Added a bit of shimmer by adding Versa fine "champagne" ink to the frame..
Handwritten the quote with black fine liner pen & stamped few little hearts. Added a twine for the finishing touch.

Colorful Blooms ♥

Good morning my dearest friends!! Pon Malar here, back again; this time with 3 floral cards made using the May release of Mudra stamps. I must say I'm totally head over heels with this months' release. Such a fun & interesting collection.
And for the added fun, Mudra Stamps are now available at the following outlets.

Without further ado, let's get back to my cards.

Card: 1
Brushed Flowers ~ Oh wait, these can be customized!!
Yep I made this entire design using a single stamp. Isn't that fun :)

  • I took the tiny brush stroke stamp & used it with yellow, orange & green pigment inks. Stamped repeatedly creating flowers & leaves.
  • Your very own customized flowers are ready.
  • Then added few dots around the flowers using Uniball Posca marker.
  • Heat embossed the sentiment in black.
  • Few rhinestones to finish my card.

Stamping tip: Make the most use of your stamp sets by your creative thinking . Power up  your imagination & share more of your innovative cards here at our FB page.

Card: 2
Mixed media Blooms

  • I used the flowers from linen bloom stamp set& stamped them using black archival ink.
  • Then stamped the solid coloring using red, orange & yellow pigment inks. You can use a stamping tool for your convenience; for layering the stamps.
  • Did the same with the leaves & for the stems I drew it using Uniball Posca marker & outlined it in black.
  • Fussy cut the flowers, leaves & the stems.
  • Took a pattern paper in light pink, applied brick red & vintage photo DI around the edges & distressed the margins to give an old crumbling look.
  • Then added those flowers, leaves & the stems in layers using tacky tape & foam tape.
  • Stamped the sentiment in black & added it in the form of a banner.
  • Adhered everything down on a white card stock, whose edges were smeared with vintage photo DI & finally stuck it on the main card front.

Card: 3
Floral bunch in red

  • Took a red card stock & stamped the flowers along the right margin.
  • Then fussy cut the flowers & saved them for later.
  • Stuck the red card stock to my card front.
  • Using the negative space from the red panel as a guide, I stamped the flowers again using black archival ink.
  • Then stamped the solid coloring for the flowers using red & yellow pigment inks.
  • Heat embossed the sentiment in white, few dots & pearls to finish the look.
  • As a final touch I added a fussy cut flower to the red panel with foam tape.

My favorites! Lotus Blooms and Floral Silhouette

Hi All,

It's Priya again from priya-n-papers! I was given the opportunity to pick some of my favorite Mudra stamps and craft! It was hard to pick from all the beautiful Mudra stamps I have so far, but I settled down for "Lotus Blooms" and "Floral Silhouettes".

My Favorite 1 : Lotus Blooms

As you all might have guessed by now, I have control issues! When I work on a stamp, I want to try all the possibilities with that stamp at once! so again, I made 3 cards with this stamp set! All 3 cards have same design or stamps/layout but different techniques!

Card 1 : Coloring on Vellum :

 Procedure :
* I made my background with a 3D embossing folder and lightly colored it in blue and yellow colors.
* Then I did some heat embossing with white embossing powder.
* I brought in some zig clean clear brush markers and colored in the embossed images. For some added fun, I blended the colors with wink of stella clear glitter pen.

Here is a close up. It looks so gorgeous in real!

Card 2 : Heat embossing on Vellum

Procedure :
* Prepared the background with Red, Yellow and Blue color markers. Blended these for a rainbow effect
* Then I stamped the outlined images with clear embossing ink and embossed it with Silver embossing powder.
Love how the silver images pops out!

Card 3 : Distressing with Water lifting
I recently learnt this awesome technique and thought of sharing with you all!
Procedure :
* Heat emboss the outlined images on watercolor paper
* Distress whole paper with various distress inks.
* Now put water inside the outlined lotus images with the help of a paint brush and lift the water off the paper using a paper towel.

Love how this turned out!

Stamp Highlight : Lotus Blooms

My Favorite 2 : Floral Silhouette

I totally loved this solid floral stamp! Last time I colored the images, this time I wanted to try heat embossing. While selecting the colors, I thought of those pretty Indian sarees and the rich and fabulous color combos these comes in. I wanted to achieve that elegance in my cards too! Pics are not able to do the justice to the beauty of these cards.

Procedure :
1. Layout the floral images from the stamp set as per your choice onto your stamping tool or acrylic block.
2. Stamp the layout with clear embossing ink and heat emboss the panels with Gold and Silver embossing powder
3. Die cut the panels with some stitched dies. You can also trace and cut
4. Now distress the 4 pieces with distress inks of your choice
5. Put the panels together and you are done!

Stamp Highlight : Floral Silhouette

Farewell cards

Hello lovely readers..
Parul here and I hope you all are getting more and more creative seeing Mudra's posts. Each and every DT is coming up with something new and exciting.  Today I will be sharing some farewell cards. Hope you enjoy them.
Project 1: Have you seen the "farewell" sentiments stamp set in April release of Mudra? Its amazing!! I know its quite tough to say goodbye to the people we love but sometimes we have to and won't it be amazing if we say it with a card?
so here is my first card
Its a complete CAS. That beautiful layered flower is from Floral Fantasy stamp set. I put that floral behind a polaroid frame since frames remind me of memories. Next step was to stamp the sentiment and voila a farewell card is ready!!
Supplies used: "Farewell" and "Floral Fantasy" stamp set

Project 2: my second project features "happy girl" stamp set along with  "farewell" stamp set. Please have a look:
This card is also quite easy to make. The background for happy girl is made with distress ink blending and both the sentiment and girl are stamped with archival ink.
Won't this card be a perfect way to say bye to a friend who is going far to chase her dreams? I love it!!
Supplies used: "Farewell" and "Happy girl" stamp set

Project 3: My third project shows how versatile the "farewell" set is?  You can make a romantic card too with it :)
lets have a look first
I stamped the branch and birds from "Cutie Tweety" set and drew those bubbles with a black pen to indicate how the bird sitting on the branch is thinking about its happy times  and missing those times :). And next I stamped the sentiment. When it comes to a romantic card I go for black, white and red combination.
Supplies used:  "Cutie Tweety" and "Farewell" stamp set

I hope I have left you inspired to try these beautiful stamp sets. Now you can buy these Mudra stamps at The craft shop and Lulupu store :)
Thanks a lot for stopping by

Beyond your comfort zone..!!

 Good morning dear friends!!

It's PonMalar here today, sharing a bunch of cards I made using the April Mudra Stamps. First I would like to thank all my crafty friends who share tons of inspiration here at our FB page using Mudra stamps

Sharing here today 4 cards I made which were definitely beyond my comfort zone; how you can push your limited supplies & your imagination to the very limits :)

Card: 1
     Galaxy background with water colors.

  • It was my first time trying a galaxy background & I must say this was so much fun. I used Camel water colors for this & they turned out good I guess :)
  • Went crazy with shades of blue, purple, red, orange & black; drying completely with a heat tool between each colors.
  • Once done, darkened the borders using black distress ink.
  • Added white splatters using diluted gesso.
  • Stamped & embossed the dream catcher and sentiments using white embossing powder.

Stamp set used:
     Dream Catcher

Note: Small update in this design has been made with the may release is, The tini tiny leaf was removed due to manufacturing and handling difficulties. The above is the updated version.

Card: 2
     Silhouette at Sunset

  • I used ink smooching technique with distress inks, red orange & yellow.
  • Make sure to dry the first layer of colors completely (with a heat tool) & then start with the next color; this makes the pigments to get fixed & the second color seeps into it giving us cool patterns with sharp borders.
  • Made sure to leave a grungy white border & pasted it onto a black card stock.
  • Stamped & embossed the girl, branch and sentiments using black embossing powder.
  • Finally mounted it using foam tapes.

Stamp set used:
     Happy girl & Cutie Tweety

Card: 3
     Make your own pattern papers.

  • I used the Flourish pattern repeatedly on a color card stock & embossed it in clear to create beautiful patterned paper.
  • Cut them into blocks to add some fun to my card. Used the colors red, yellow & orange as it correlates with the image I had planned for my card.
  • Embossed the mushroom, caterpillar & sentiments in black.
  • Colored them using Uniball posca markers. Hand drawn grass blades to finish the scene.
  • Scribbled a border in matching colors.
  • And finally assembled it all in my card using tacky tape & foam tape.

Stamp set used:
     Magical mushroom & Flourish Pattern

Card: 4
     CAS using 3 colors

  • Used the 3 feathers to create a bunch at the top left corner using orange & yellow pigment inks.

  • While stamping the border slightly offset it to create a cool effect.
  • Added few more feathers in red & orange using the border stamp alone.
  • Stamped the sentiment in black archival ink onto a banner & assembled everything together using foam tape.

Stamp set used:
Dream Catcher & Purely Sentiments

Hope you had fun, I sure did. And I think that's all for today!! Oh yeah, did I mention you can now get Mudra stamps now at your favorite craft stores ♥ Yep, TheCraftShop & Lulupu Store has them now. Do hop on to start hoarding :)

Take care, have fun, keep on crafting
