Scattered Stamping & The Fabulous New Chipzeb...

Hi! I am here today with more inspiration for the February Mood Board Challenge #18 using the fabulous products from the January release.

Our mood board features the gorgeous UV colors which are so trendy right now.

Each of my cards were inspired by different elements of this mood board.

Card 1:
The first thing that caught my eye were the stripes of color at the top right. This is my card inspired by the lovely pics.

  • Take strips of different colored paper, cut them into random widths and adhere them to a piece of scrap paper. This technique is a great stash buster.
  • Run the panel through your die cutting machine or trim manually.
  • Stamp the sentiment and the floral image from the Flower Bunch stamp set and heat emboss with white embossing powder.
  • Flick some white paint on the violet card base and let it dry.
  • Mount the panel on the card base with foam tape.
  • To finish add some of the gorgeous clear sequins by Mudra.

Card 2:
The new January release has stamp sets specially designed for Valentine's Day.

  • Take a piece of white card stock.
  • Stamp all the images from the Together Forever stamp set randomly with an ink matching the card base you want to use. This stamp set is really great since it has both large and tiny images.
  • Adhere the stamped panel to the card base at an angle and trim off the excess.
  • To finish add a stitch line with a white gel pen.

Card 3:
This card uses the most exciting new product launched by Mudra recently. It is our collection of chipboard embellishments.

This was my first time using chipboard and I am completely in love with this product! here is my card.

  • Take the two coordinating butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies set. I love that these fit perfectly over each other.
  • Color the solid butterfly with photo inks. You can also use distress inks, distress oxides, paint etc.
  • Heat emboss the other butterfly with layers of clear ink to give it a little shine.
  • Adhere the two butterflies to get a lovely embellishment all ready to go on your card. Here is a closeup of the ready butterfly.

  • Take a cream cardbase and stamp it with the Flower bunch stamp. I used second generation stamping since I didn't want a very strong background.
  • Die cut the other panels and mount on the card base.
  • Stamp the sentiment from the Carnations stamp set with dye ink.
  • To finish adhere the butterfly with any strong glue.
