Three Simple Cards | Carnation Stamp Set

Hello everyone! How are you doing? This is Deepti Stephens and today is my turn to share my inspiration post with you all. I used the beautiful Carnation stamp set for my projects today. So today's post is all about One Card Design + Three Different Card Stocks + Three Different Coloring Mediums. Yep! I used White Card Stock + Koi Water Colors, Kraft Card Stock + Faber-Castell Water Color Pencils and Black Card Stock + Distress Oxide Inks.

CARD #1

CARD MAKING DETAILS
  • I took a standard sized white card stock and took a black card stock trimmed slightly smaller than the main card base
  • Then I prepped the black card surface with Anti Static Powder Tool and stamped one of the flowers from the set and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder from Ranger
  • Then I colored the flower with Worn Lipstick and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Inks. I like the chalky effect on this card. Very cool!
  • Later I flicked some splashed of Picket Fence paint onto the black surface with a paint brush
  • I let it dry completely, once everything was dry I added a white strip with a stamped sentiment. The sentiment was also from the same set
  • Finally adhered the black panel over the main card base and embellished the card with a few Sugar Plum Mix sequins
Here is the closure look of the card

CARD #2

CARD MAKING DETAILS
  • The paper trimming, stamping part was exactly same as the above card
  • I water colored the image with Faber-Castell Water Color Pencils
  • Then I flicked some splashes of Picket Fence Paint with a paint brush
  • Added a sentiment strip
  • Adhered the Kraft panel over the main card base and embellished with a few golden sequins

CARD #3

CARD MAKING DETAILS
  • The card design was exactly same as the above cards
  • I water colored the image with Koi Water Colors, one of my favourites!
  • I flicked some black paint

And those were the cards for today and I hope you like it.

  1. These are absolutely gorgeous! It is amazing the difference that the choice of card stock and coloring medium make to the same image!
