Butterfly Kisses & Birthday Wishes!!

Hiya Crafters,

Happy March!
Hope you are enjoying the releases so far and equally excited visiting this blog.
This month marks our 1st year Journey into Crafting Community on the Manufacturing Front and to me is so special, as am associated with this Brand from 2015 and this opportunity is so close to my heart. Thank you so much Varshitha, for all the love and admiration.

And this day is bit extra special, as today is my little one, Adithya turns 8 :)
And so am here to wish Mudra, Adithya and Varshitha's son...all a very Happiest Birthday!!!

Made two butterfly cards which perfectly fits the current theme of Mudra challenge.

Card 1

Vellum Butterflies

  • Took a watercolor cardstock.
  • Randomly applied three colors using Gansai Tambi.
  • Watered down much to get pastel shades.
  • White heat embossed Butterflies from Butterfly Layers on vellum.
  • Colored the butterflies, using Gelatos of color to correspond the background colored layers.
  • The focal panel then is diecut and mini sentiment stamp from Happy Birthday is stamped.
  • Fussy cut all 3 butterflies and mounted using foam adhesive around the sentiment.
  • These are then mounted on to a black cardstock and then to a A2 sized white cardbase.
  • Few clear droplets are added as accents.

Card 2

Embossed Butterfly

  • I absolutely love butterflies and seek ways to use it on my projects...And if you know me well....There is no surprise that, i equally adore Heat embossing techniques. (Scroll for my Butterfly projects/Heat embossing here in blog...It says it all :))
  • Recently fell in love with Coloring on kraft cardstock.
  • Took a kraft cardstock, and stamped the tiny flourishes from Vintage fluorish stampset using Ranger's Glacier White pigment ink.
  • Then stamped Butterfly from Beautiful butterflies with same ink and colored using Fabercastell polychromos White.
  • Then fussy cut it and Clear embossed it using UTEE clear Embossing enamel to make it as a standalone Focal element.
  • Added a mini white doily diecut centrally and added this butterfly on top.
  • A lovely vintagey printed ribbon is topped up with sentiment banner.
  • Few white sequins added randomly.
  • This matted on to White a2 sized cardstock to finish off the card.
